Do you sell wholesale?

If you have not ordered from DON925 Jewelry before, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting wholesale accounts or pricing until you have experienced our products firsthand. This allows you to fully appreciate the artistry and quality that define our brand.

We are proud to share that our prices are already very competitive, reflecting the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of our sterling silver jewelry. At this time, we do not offer a wholesale service.

Should we consider offering wholesale in the future, we would be happy to contact you. In the meantime, we would love to know more about your boutique​ or shop.

A brief introduction would be helpful, as we are dedicated to partnering with businesses that share our values. Our focus is on slow, sustainable jewelry rather than fast fashion, and we take pride in crafting timeless pieces.

How to determine my ring size?

Please be aware that your fingers may change with the time of day, weather/season, and types of food and drinks consumed.

The fingers on your dominant hand are often slightly larger than those of your non–dominant hand.

Our rings are true to size and we use quarter and half sizes to ensure we are as accurate as possible.

Check your size more than once: Especially if it's your first time purchasing a ring or losing/gaining weight.
Have your fingers professionally measured by visiting your local jeweler (best option!).

At home, check with a plastic ring sizer.

Your fingers will swell in warmer weather and vice-versa in cold weather.

Type of Ring:
Wide rings sometimes require a bigger size. Bands approximately 6mm wide or more generally require a slightly larger size for most people.

Do you normally wear thin or wider bands?

Rings with a greater surface area against the skin can feel tighter than a thinner ring, given the ability for the finger to shape around a thinner ring.

Use a ring mandrel: 

Purchase a ring mandrel to find out the size(s) of your favorite ring(s). We recommend this ring sizer and mandrel (affiliate link).

Visit your local jeweler to have them measure your best fitting ring(s).

For reference, our hand model wears sizes 5-6.

How to determine my slip-on bangle size?

Bangle sizes are normally determined by the sizes of the hands and not the wrist. 

The best way to determine your size: 

  • Measure the inner diameter of your favorite bangle. Using a ruler, place it on top of the bangle and measure the middle from side to side (inside) and compare it to the item’s inner diameter. 
  • Measure the inner circumference with a soft measuring tape and compare it to the item’s inner circumference. 
  • Visit your local jeweler to have your hand professionally measured with a bangle sizer.

Please be mindful that these items are handmade, not machine made. We do our very best to ensure these are made to measure. In some cases there might be a slight variety of 1mm outside of that. For example (XSmall 5.5 cm) 5.4 cm or 5.6 cm.

What is sterling silver?

Pure silver is too soft to use for most functional objects. Luckily, a smarty-pants back in the 12th century decided to mix pure silver with some other metal(s) to give it more strength. The resulting alloy is what we know today as sterling silver.

Sterling Silver: 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper or other alloy metal. Which adds strength while still preserving the ductility and appearance of the pure silver. 

A malleable metal used for jewelry, ornaments, silverware and currency coins. 

Pure Silver: 99.99% silver, used to make bullion bars for international commodities, trading and investment in silver. 

Silver Filled & Plated: Base metal (such as copper or brass) with a thin layer of silver. Silver will wear off through time.

How do we source our jewelry?

We teamed up with exceptionally talented silversmiths in Mexico and have long standing relationships with Mexico’s very best family-owned ateliers. Our range covers everyday items that will not break the bank, right through to collectible one-of-a-kind pieces which will only appreciate in value through time.

Heirloom Pieces: Each piece is lovingly handmade to the highest possible standard and under the best possible conditions for our artisans. We've heard of DON925 customers passing their pieces on.

Ethical Materials: All of our metals come from ethical sources. We guarantee the best in humanitarian apparel.

Handmade in small batches: All of our pieces are handmade in small batches on a rotation schedule. Our permanent collection is restocked twice a year and we keep a small collection of seasonal favorites.

Mexico is currently the largest producer of silver in the world, with a long standing mining industry dating back to the 1500s, it yields not only high quantities but also a very high quality silver.

Silver mining is also a pillar of our family business, with Maria's grandfather a miner many years ago.

Quality Guarantee: How to determine if it’s real sterling silver?

Quality is of the utmost importance to us. Maria’s family have been in the Mexican jewelry industry since 1980. We stand by the quality of our products. We do not sell filled, plated or coated silver.

  • Check the markings. Sterling silver is often stamped 925 or .925 on jewelry pieces. Sometimes the words "sterling," “sterling silver" or "ster" will be stamped, or the initials "ss." Keep in mind that a lack of markings does not necessarily mean it’s not sterling. For example, smaller makers of handmade pieces might not stamp the items they make.
  • The magnet test: You can perform a test by holding a magnet near the item; if the magnet attracts the item, then you likely don’t have sterling silver. It shouldn’t be magnetic.
  • The odor test: Sterling silver is odorless, If you can smell sulfur or a distinct metallic fragrance, then it is not sterling silver.
  • The polish test: Silver oxidizes and tarnishes. Rub the tarnished piece with a quality white silver polishing cloth. If no black residue appears on your cloth, it's not silver.
  • The ice test: Place your piece on top of an ice cube. Silver will melt the ice faster, compared to any common metal.

Each item is unique and may feature tiny imperfections or soldering marks.

Do you do repairs, customization or resizing?

Currently we do not offer these services, our apologies.

Please take good care of your jewelry, it is designed to last for years to come. Occasionally wear and tear may require a quick trip to your jeweler for a simple fix.
Our prices do not include repair costs.

Some of our items can be resized and engraved by visiting your local jeweler.

How are your orders packaged?

We include ONE premium DON925 bag and care card per order, if you require more please contact us. We are happy to add more at no extra cost.

Small gift boxes are available for purchase.

Orders are shipped on an “indestructo” box to avoid any potential damages.

Our apologies if we do not have the item you are looking for in stock.

All of our pieces are handmade in small batches on a rotation schedule. Our permanent collection is restocked twice a year and we keep a small collection of seasonal favorites.

We do our best to restock our most popular items as soon as we can. However, our jewelry is handmade which results in a longer lead time than machine-made jewelry, we do truly appreciate your patience.

Caring for your jewelry

Can sterling silver stain your skin?

Our genuine sterling silver should not cause a skin reaction.

925 jewelry is made of 92.5% pure silver and has been alloyed with 7.5% copper. The mix with copper provides the durability and workability necessary to create jewelry.

People highly sensitive to copper may experience a reaction to this small copper content but it is very rare.

Making jewelry by hand is a dusty and messy process so we have a strict procedure when cleaning our items. In rare instances a tiny amount of residue may leave a removable dark mark on your skin on the first time of wearing.

Please know that this is not a skin reaction to substandard materials, Maria’s family have been in the Mexican jewelry industry since 1980. We stand by the quality of our products.

How do I clean and care for my sterling silver jewelry?
  • Ideally, store it in a low-humidity environment.
  • Keep the jewelry clean and dry when you’re not wearing it.
  • If it’s in an airtight container, it won’t have a chance to react and tarnish.

Our jewelry is tarnish-resistant and long-lasting when cared for properly!

Sterling silver loves being worn and it is mostly waterproof.

Wearing whilst showering or washing your hands can help remove any built-up residue.

You can polish and refinish your jewelry many times as natural wear occurs.

Store your CLEAN and DRY jewelry in your DON925 bag, zip bag or an air-tight container, away from humidity and moisture.

Consider removing your jewelry before bedtime to let your skin breathe.

Give it extra love now and then with:

  • Our DON925 silver polishing cloth.
  • Baking soda (optional) + warm soapy water and brush with a toothbrush, rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
  • Some stubborn tarnishing may require use of a commercial polishing cream (avoid using it on blackened (oxidized) jewelry. 
  • Visit your local jeweler for a professional clean.

Can copper jewelry stain your skin?

Copper is well known to react with certain skin types. Occasionally pH levels in the skin can react with copper, resulting in a green mark, it is normal and harmless. Some people believe copper possesses certain health benefits.

How to care for copper jewelry?

Copper requires a little TLC as natural wear occurs, please consider:

  • Visiting your local jeweler to have your jewelry professionally cleaned.
  • At home, wash it with warm soapy water and brush it with a toothbrush, then dry and polish with a silver cloth.
  • Another option is to soak your copper jewelry in white vinegar for 15-20 min: Boil three cups of water and add a cup of vinegar and one tablespoon or more of salt. Next, stir the mixture until the salt is dissolved and then place the copper item in the water.

Why don't you offer returns or exchanges?

In order to keep our prices competitive for you, to offer exceptional value for precious metal jewelry, to ensure each piece is exclusively yours, to honor the craftsmanship of our skilled silversmiths, and to reduce our carbon footprint -- We are unable to accommodate returns or exchanges. 

As a small, micro team, the costs, time, and complexities of managing returns or exchanges would ultimately increase our prices.

I bought the wrong size, what can I do?

We understand that mistakes can happen when it comes to sizing, and we want to assure you that we are here to help.

If you accidentally ordered the wrong size, we are willing to offer a special discount on the correctly sized item should you wish to gift the original item to a loved one.

Please contact us with the subject “Bought the wrong size”.

I’ve received the wrong item, size or a faulty item, what should I do?

We are sorry if there has been an issue with your order! Please kindly contact us within 72 hours (no exceptions).

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the items are defective or damaged, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

We are truly sorry if we shipped the wrong item or size! We hardly ever miss a sneaky fault slipping through our strict quality control.

If you suspect that we improperly sized your item,we will ask you to visit your local jeweler and send a photo of the ring on a ring-mandrel for proof, or the dimensions of the item against a measuring tool.

If we are at fault for the sizing issue, we will exchange your item for the correctly sized item free of charge. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and will do everything we can to make it right.

Order cancellation: What happens if I have made an error in my order?

Please contact us immediately and before your order has shipped. We will do our best to accommodate any changes or cancellation requests. 

Cancellations may be subject to a 20% restocking or transaction fee (if applicable).

We do our best to ensure your items arrive safely and on time. We are always available to help troubleshoot if something does go wrong.

Please understand however, that once a package is marked "delivered" we are not able to replace it.

Packages are subject to USPS insurance or Shipsurance policies (if applicable).

Stolen items should be reported to your local authorities. If you have concerns, or have had packages stolen in the past, please opt-in to the signature on delivery option at checkout to ensure it is left in your hands.

Lost or damaged package, what should I do?

We are truly sorry to learn you are having trouble locating your package or did not receive your package.

We do our best to ensure your items arrive safely and on time and are always available to help troubleshoot if something does go wrong.

Usually the parcel service is very reliable however sometimes they experience some difficulties.

If your box arrived damaged, please contact us immediately, the insurance company requires proof by sending us quality (not blurry) images and a detailed description.
